HSBC has completed the first issuance of native digital structured products in Hong Kong, involving a private placement of US dollar-denominated notes. These notes are issued directly on the blockchain, rather than being digitized afterwards. Marketnode acts as the tokenization and digital payment agent, managing the payment flow between the issuer and investors. Previously, HSBC collaborated with Marketnode and UOB on the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian and submitted a case study on the issuance of digital native structured notes.
